How To Enable Cookies

AdaCare requires cookies, and you can't log in if cookies are disabled in your web browser. If you need help turning on cookies, follow the steps below for your web browser.

All Computers

One issue that can affect cookies on any computer is your date and time. For security, AdaCare sets its cookies to expire after a few hours. If the clock on your PC is incorrect, cookies may expire right away and you won't be able to log in.

Follow these steps to check the clock on your PC:

  1. On the lower-right corner of your screen you'll see your PC's clock. Double-click on the clock to open the Date and Time control panel. (You can also open this panel from the Start menu, and select the Control Panel.)
  2. Change the date or time if needed (and the time zone, too), and click the Ok button to save your changes.

Internet Explorer

  1. Pull down the Tools menu and select Internet Options (also available from the Control Panel).
  2. Click the General tab, and then click the Delete... button.
  3. In the pop-up window, make sure the Cookies checkbox is turned on, and click the Delete button.
  4. Next, click the Privacy tab.
  5. Move the slider up or down to select Medium.
  6. Click the Advanced button. In the pop-up window, make sure the Override automatic cookie handling checkbox is turned off.
  7. Click the Ok button to close each of the windows.
  8. Exit Internet Explorer and reopen it, and then try to log in again.

Firefox

  1. Pull down the Tools menu and select Options.
  2. Click the Privacy tab.
  3. In the History section, pull down the list for "Firefox will" and select Use custom settings for history.
  4. In the Accept cookies from sites option, make sure the checkbox is turned on.
  5. Click the Ok button
  6. Close the Options window, exit Firefox, and then try to log in again.

Safari

  1. On a Windows PC, pull down the Edit menu and select Preferences. On a Macintosh, pull down the Safari menu and select Preferences.
  2. Click the Privacy tab.
  3. Click the Remove All Website Data button to remove all cookies.
  4. In the Block Cookies section, select the From third parties option. (The Never option works as well, but we don't recommend it.)
  5. Close the Preferences window, exit Safari, and then try to log in again.
